Banderas Jodhpur Boots II
In the late 19th century, the polo players and horsemen of the Jodhpur court rode out in boots built for command — ankle-high, strap-fastened, immovable in the stirrup. The world noticed. What began as utilitarian riding equipment was absorbed, over decades, into the canon of great men’s shoemaking. The Banderas is that inheritance.
The silhouette is clean and authoritative: a single strap-and-buckle fastener wraps the shaft with quiet precision, the Monti last lending the toe its characteristic classical elegance — slightly squared, never severe. The upper is executed in a pairing of bold contrasts: hand-painted full grain black leather meets houndstooth sartorial cloth, a juxtaposition that is at once tailored and unexpected. A Goodyear-welted leather sole in black and a beige calf leather lining complete a boot that has earned its place in the wardrobe and at the table.
Some silhouettes are fashionable. This one is simply correct.
